Unit 1 My weekends

My usual weekends are very boring. For example, I usually wake up later, play with my dog, go driving and watch TV. Recently, however, I have started a new job, and last weekend I worked very hard. My job started at 9:00 a.m. I woke up early and drove there by car. The weather last weekebd was good, so not so many people were on the roads. On Saturday, my job finished at 3:00p.m. After that I went to a pet beauty salon so my dog could became more pretty. On Sunday, I worked during the day. It was busy, but I enjoyed it. Next weekend is Golden Week, but I will work all the time. I think many people will come, so I will have a busy weekend. If I have time, I want to go dinner with my friends or go driving somewhere.

Unit2 My Friend

Tome is a my friend from school, and she is also my best friend. Tome is very cute. She is 150 cm tall. Her hair is brown and her face is small. She always wears casual clothes. Tome has a wonderful personality. She thinks about her friends, so she is kind and she always says funny things, but she is a serious girl. She studies English very hard. Tome has many hobbies. She likes games. She always drives her own car. She likes singing. She always sing a song during she drives a car.

Tome talk a lot about the future. She will graduate from TCFL and get her degree. She will continue her part time job as a McDonald until she decides what to do for her career. I know that she will be successful because she studies and works hard. She will have a lot fun in the future, too.

unit3 Friendly massage

Hi Makiko,

How are you? I am fine. It is Wednesday afternoon and I am sitting in room 604 at TCFL, the computer lab. It is a sunny day, but not so hot in Toyama. I am sitting at a small round table near the window of the room.

I had a very interesting weekend. I went to the zoo. It was a very hot day. There were many families. The animals were very cute, but because of the weather, almost all of them had heat exhaustion. We looked at various animals, and we were looking forward to see the lions before we left. When we found them, they were sleeping and didn’t move. We were disappointed. Finally, we went to a bridge at the zoo. It was big and a little shaky, but it was fun crossing it! We enjoyed the zoo and bridge. I want to go on not such a hot day next time.

I hope you have happy and good days! When you will come back to Toyama? I want to go to a movie or shopping again. Where will you go next? Please tell me some story of your trip. Please write soon.

Unit5 My first job

Today was Yumi’s first day at her new part-time job. She woke up at her usual time. She checked the stuff of part-time job she would need because she couldn’t forget to bring the necessary things. She was excited and nervous.

At 7:00, Yumi showered and got dressed. After that she went to kitchen and ate breakfast. Finally, she went to the station to catch her train, and she arrived at her school. After school she went to her work place. There were many co-workers, and she was nervous. Before she started her job, she introduced herself in front of all of the employees. Then she started working. Her job was so fun, and the other co-workers were very wonderful, so she could adapt herself to this job quickly. When she was working, she forgot time, so the workday ended quickly without notice.

Yumi’s first day of work had been very fun. She was nervous and worried about her job at first, but her co-workers were very nice and her work went well! She hoped she would remember her responsibilities and enjoy the job.

Unit７　Before and after job at movie theater

Starting my job at the TOHO movie theater has really changed my life. When I decided to work there, I was very nervous. I worried about the job, but I wanted to make many friends and watch many movies. I never knew that my life before starting my job would have some similarities and differences to my life after start my job.

Before begining my job, I used to play with my friends every weekend until mid-night. At school I went places with my friends after school. When I wanted to watch movies at a movie theater, I had to pay some money. My health was so fine, and in my house I communicated with my family a lot . I used my time freely before I started to my job.

Then, I went to work. Many parts of my life changed, but some stayed the same. When I arrived I felt nervous. My friend calmed me before I started. Since that day, I have changed so much. Now I work hard every weekend, but sometimes I have day off; then I go out with my friends. If I want to watch movies, I can watch them for free anytime! My health is still good, but I sometimes feel tired. In my house, my communicatons time with my family is less because I get back home so late. This is a sad thing, I think, but changing my life has worked out for the best.

Someone I’m interested in is Audrey Hepburn. She is very cute. She is very good actress. She was loved by many people still now. She acted in many films. She got many award.

In 1929 May 4, she was born in Rust on in Brussels Belgium and in 1930 her parents were divorced. In 1948 she appears in an instructional film. Her most famous film is ” Roman Holiday” in 1953. She got academy award-Best Actress in this film. In 1954 she was married with famous actor Mel Ferrer and this year she receives the Oscar for ” Best Actress In A leading Role”. She got academy award nomination, Best Actress in movie ” Breakfast at Tiffany’s” in 1961, and in 1988, she acted famous movie ” My Fair Lady”. In 1988, she retired actress, and next year, she becomes UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador. In 1993 January 20, she was die. After she die, she received her second Oscar (posthumously) Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. In 2006 to 2007 Japanese bank use Audrey Hepburn, and she was select in Best Actress by Japanese TV show.

Audrey Hepburn’s life is very difficult, but it looks fun. When I know her, she was very cute and good actress. Her life and my life don’t have similar point, but so I interested in her life. I can’t spend wonderful life like her, but I want to understand her life and respect her.
